Well, it was inevitable that someone would eventually combine the popularity of internet chat software with the computer cam effectively. The majority of popular chat programs out there now allow you the use of your webcam, but it only comes across as stills or very stuttery streaming video. iSpQ is going to change that. iSpQ incorporates proprietary compression software to allow for up to 15 frames per second video across standard high speed connections. iSpQ also lets the user connect to a community of similarly equipped people in public chat forums or you can create a private one for you and friends or family. Add to this the ability to take snapshots using your webcam and being able to immediately send the image to other community members. iSpQ also incorporates a PhotoIM feature that will let you send the photo to any MSN ® , Yahoo! ® , ICQ ® , and AIM® connections you have.

iSpQ works through a user creating a profile on an online community. This allows other iSpQ users to search it and allows the user to browse the existing database for individuals that have similar interests, nationalities, or whatever you are interested in. iSpQ is best utilized from a system that has at least a broadband connection to the internet. The compression software can bring down the bandwidth demands for the video to as low as 15k/second. While this is still too much for the standard 56k modem, it not excessive for the majority of wireless connections available, so connecting from a hotspot is very plausible. The rest of the chat programs will eventually get to this point, but iSpQ is able to offer this level of functionality now.
