| Gammadyne Mailer v21.1
INTRODUCTION This is the emailer program for the company that thought they had everything. Whether the purpose is for small distribution, personalized messaging, or wan wide email distribution, this program is designed to fill those needs. INSTALLATION There is nothing to say about installing this program. There is a single executable file to run, you will be asked what language do you want to use. The standard end user license agreement comes up, followed by a statement by the developer of the software with an explanation of the program. You are then asked where you want the program to be installed. It installs. It has a small footprint in the hard drive, 6,688,768 bytes after extraction. The installer places a discrete icon on the desktop as well as in the program menu. CONFIGURATION There is no configuration necessary for this program. When utilizing the emailing aspect of the program, the configuration will depend entirely on the use to which it will be put. The program itself is meant to be a quick install and ready to use style program. In this regard I was a little disappointed in the program. It is nice that it lays itself open so easily, but because of the design of the layout of the interface, it gives you no hints if anything needs to be done in preparation before starting a project. INTERFACE This program is packed with options, if you thought outlook allowed you to manage your email, you have not seen anything yet. At first glance the screen comes across as pretty daunting. The menu text across the top of the screen is in large font and there is something everywhere you look. It will take some time to accommodate the information you are being presented with, but when you get used to it you will find a very powerful tool to tailor your emails to EXACTLY what you want. It will take a fair amount of practice to really get the maximum benefit out of this program, but once you get going you will really appreciate the level of control you can exert. Whether for the individual or the office, this program will provide the service you need for your emailing demands FUNCTIONALITY As soon as you open the program it opens a wizard to assist you in whatever you want to do. The wizard page is very simple and clean in design, easy to understand and laid out to present the latest projects you are working on. it has the standard windows maximize/minimize/close buttons as well as two others that enlarge and shrink the window. If you are not using the wizard and just close it, you will be presented with the meat of the program. the layout is a little intimidating when first opened, but provides an excellent index along the left side of the screen to allow you to move around in any project you have running. There are the standard quick links along the top as well as the normal menu options that we have all come to expect. One of the choices in the menu selection is 'Wizards', immediately under this heading is an option to stop the wizard from starting when the program is opened. The familiarity of the layout allows for a quick grasp of the options available to the user. The program is really limited more by the lack of experience of any user than by the program itself. The program makes extensive use of icons to make the screen easier to read and move around within. the variety of icons does make it easy to distinguish between the choices avail and add a nice aesthetic touch to the choices in the menu trees. CONCLUSION This can be a very powerful tool in the hands of an experienced user. It has a lot of options for a user and will perform a lot of email related tasks quite efficiently. This program is not for the inexperienced. The choices it will ask you to make in going through any of the wizards will require you to have an advanced understanding of emailing procedures and options. I can see a lot of frustration coming from a small business that tries to use this program with no experience in this kind of task. The program provides an excellent help file, as long as the user is fairly comfortable learning new programs and with computer terminology in general, they will have little problem with using the help files to understand the operations of the program.
