| Ultimate sound analysis system, DSSF3 version 5.0.1.X
"The Ultimate Sound Diagnostic Solution" INTRODUCTION Ultimate sound analysis system, DSSF3 is a sound analys system to help you measure sound decibles. INSTALLATION The installation of this software was very comprehenable. It has a typical and custom version of installs.See fig1.1 fig1.1 CONFIGURATION The configuration is very little to be done it runs right out of the box no configuring to do unless your very advanced at measuring sound. See fig 1.2 fig1.2 INTERFACE The program is very well thought out, very easy to use and among other things is very easy to understand. The program is very rich in content and runs in either full screen or is resizable to fit your work area. In the screen below we have a template screen to set up a noise source template. See fig 1.3 FUNCTIONALITY This program is designed to measure sound levels in the form of db's(decibles). This is a reading of sound in which the level of loudness is measured and turned into a number form many of us that work factory jobs understand this fully OSHA uses a standard number of db's of sound to tell whether or not we should wear earplugs. With this program I ran several tests around the house and outside in my car, the levels I recived were in fact the same as my very own sound tester that i have in house to measure my car stero with for competitions. See fig 1.4. One problem we ran into is when running a manual test, when it was calculating the program had crashed on us several times. See fig 1.5 for a completed test we ran these. fig1.4 In the above screen we spoke into the microphone slow and steady till we got the calculating in the screen and then we stoped talking. We proceded to stop talking so that the test could complete. We then took the mic outside and let it test the sound of my radio turned up to about 4 second test on fig1.5 .
CONCLUSION This program would be useful for those wanting to measure sound around the house, in your car, from a laptop, or just wanting to measure any sound. Overall I find it used very little memory but did crash a few times on a manual test.
