Code-Lock is a very effective copy protection deviced used to eliminate the security flaws left by not using this software. By using one line of code, Code-Lock prevents the use of cracks, or faulty serial numbers from being used on your Visual Basic programs.

INSTALLATION & SETUP

There were no surprizes with the installation. Just choose the directory, and you're ready to start cracking down on piracy. There was nothing to configure besides specifying where your program is located.

INTERFACE & EASE OF USE

There are three boxes to fill in, and it couldn't be simpler. First fill in which strings your program uses, then select the filename of your program, and finally the program code. Now your program is securely encryted from hackers!

FUNCTIONALITY

Code-Lock is made specifically to protect Visual Basic programs from being used by anyone other than the purchaser of the application. It does this by using their CodeSecure technology in which the strings in your application are dependant on your application being in it's original state. Any alterations such as cracks or faulty Activex controls will render your application useless. Code-Lock also securely encrypts your program with a great encryption routine that makes sure that only the correct computer dependant registration code is used, which prevents the sharing of your software with anyone else.

CONCLUSION

Code-Lock is a great way to prevent the piracy of your software, and gives crackers a headache trying to do anything without buying it. Since this only works with Visual Basic programs, it is not for everyone, but i would recommend this to anyone who does program in Visual Basic and is sick of losing money from thieves.
