INTRODUCTION

Access Fix is a recovery program designed to extract your data from corrupted MS Access files (.mdb), which proves exceptionally useful when your company needs to have the records back stored in the database file. Access Fix uses special technology that pulls out the information from the database when MS Access can no longer read it.

INSTALLATION

Self-Install utility comes with the application. Simply tell it what folder to install to, and it does the rest of the work for you.

CONFIGURATION

Access fix requires no initial configuration; simply load your corrupted database file and the action begins.

INTERFACE

The interface comes with nice big buttons and self explanatory instructions. It's very simple to use, and not confusing at all. The step by step process takes the user through the contents of the database; most users will probably not be reading the help documentation unless their table definitions have been lost.

FUNCTIONALITY

Access Fix extracts information from damaged databases efficiently and quickly, and claims it recovers more data than its competitors. Guided by the easy to use interface, anyone who's non-technical should be able to use this application. Simply choose the damaged database, then save it to a new one or a text CSV file (much faster). Users may save to Access 95, 97, or 2000 database formats, and may save only certain tables out of any database. The selection of multiple databases is allowed, and in the enterprise version, batch jobs can be used to easily extract all data from multiple databases without having to sit at the console and key through them.

CONCLUSION

Access Fix is a powerful program bundled in a user-friendly interface that's perfect for corporations that store information in MS Access. You never know when your database may corrupt on you for any apparent reason; this utility will bring back your data very quickly, and more efficiently than other similar programs. I found it very easy to use, and had no problems pulling up a corrupted database and extracting the information. My corrupted database was restored in no time.
